Lukashenko for free choice of language to use at school
POLOTSK, 25 May (BelTA) – Everyone should feel free to choose which state language to use in school, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko stated as he visited the Polotsk State University on 25 May. In particular, the society and the education sector still raise the issue of the need to use only one of the two state languages to teach this or that subject in schools.

Lukashenko okays Polotsk development plan
MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has approved the general development plan of Polotsk. The Belarusian leader said this on 25 May during a concert celebrating the 1150th anniversary of the town, BelTA has learnt.

Nato delegation arrives in Belarus
MINSK, 14 May (BelTA) – A Nato delegation has arrived in Belarus for a three-day visit on 14 May, BelTA learnt from the Defense Ministry. The delegation includes representatives of the Nato Secretariat, Allied Command Operations and Allied Command Transformation, military attaches of the Nato member states accredited by the Defense Ministry of Belarus.

Belarusian-Latvian border checkpoint in for modernization
