Belarus to open its embassy in Tatarstan
MOSCOW, 25 August (BelTA) – The Russian Government has given consent to open an office of the Belarusian embassy in Kazan (Tatarstan). The relative resolution has been signed by Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, BelTA learned from the press service of the Russian Government.

Belarus to increase funding for investment projects 4.5 times
MINSK, 25 August (BelTA) – The financing of investment projects in Belarus is expected to go up by 4.5 times within the next five years, Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Sidorsky said in a meeting with the members of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus on 25 August.

EurAsEC Innovative Biotechnology program funds to total RUB926.6m

Belarus’ budget for 2011 provides for higher wages, healthcare and education expenditures

Supercomputing software ported to Windows in Belarus
MINSK, 20 August (BelTA) – The United Computer Science Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus has ported the portable batch system PBS Torque to the Windows platform. Belarus to launch venture projects by end of 2010
MINSK, 18 August (BelTA) – Belarus plans to launch a number of venture projects by the end of 2010, Director of the Belarus Innovation Fund Anatoly Grishanovich told BelTA. “We may say that by the end of the year we will start choosing and implementing such projects,” Anatoly Grishanovich said.
